Es schneit! Aber ich glaube nciht, dass es kalt genug ist, damit es liegen bleibt und wir doch noch weiße Weihnacht kriegen! Wie sieht's bei Euch aus?

Als ich den aktuellen Sketch bei Sketch Saturday sah, wusste ich gleich, dass ich ihn benutzen wollte! Und ich brauchte immer noch Weihnachtskarten (nein, ich schreibe nicht so viele, aber unter meinen Freunden gibt es so viele Abnehmer). UND ich wollte endlich mal wieder einen Fuchs benutzen - natürlich am liebsten einen von Create a Smile!
When I saw the current sketch over at Sketch Saturday I knew I wanted to make a card based on it. And I still needed some christmas cards! AND it's been a long time since I used a fox (of course I wanted to use one from Create a Smile! So this was how the card started to come together!

Ich finde, ein Sketch ist ein guter Startpunkt für eine Karte.
Der Fuchs war ein bisschen zu klein für den Sketch, so mussste ich noch ein wenig Aufmerksamkeit auf ihn lenken! Christine hat mir diese Schneeflocken geschickt (Könnt Ihr es gleuben? Das ist der "Abfall" von den Stencils.) und die waren für meinen Zweck einfach perfekt, weil sie nciht zu sehr vom Fuchs ablenken!)
I think a sketch is a great way to start a card!
The fox was a little too small for the sketch! So I needed something extra to make him the focal point! Christine sent me those snowflakes (Can you believe? These are the left overs from the stencils) and they are just perfect for this because they don't take attention away from the fox!!

Das doppelte Lottchen # 120

Beim doppelten Lottchen suchen Christine vom Kartenchaos und ich uns ein Stempel oder Stempelset o.ä. aus, das wir beide haben (da gibt es eine große Auswahl, weil wir beide den gleichen Stempelgeschmack haben). Wir entscheiden uns für eine weitere Vorgabe und basteln beide eine Karte u.ä., die dann sonntags um 16:00 Uhr gezeigt wird. Und dann staunen wir (und hoffentlich auch Ihr) wie ähnlich oder wie unterschiedlich die Karten geworden sind!

In dieser Woche durfte ich mir die Vorgaben wünschen und das ist dabei raus gekommen:

Geburtstagszug

Heute habe ich KEINE Weihnachtskarte für Euch - schockierend, wo Weihnachten nur wenige Tage entfernt ist!
Today I don't have a christmas card for you - quite shocking with christmas only a few days away!

Die neuen Stempel von Create A Smile sind ja letzten Freitag heraus gekommen, also wollte ich gerne die neuen Stempel benutzen! Und ich war neugierig, wie man wohl das Set Balance mit anderen Stempelsets kombinieren könnte. Und dann entdeckte ich: Alle Waagenschalenfüllungen passen auch perfekt in den Zug aus dem Set Whimsical Wheels. Ach, ich LIEBE es, wenn sowas passiert!
The release of the new stamps at Create A Smile was last friday so I wanted to use the new stamps. And I was curious to see how the set Balance could be used with the the other stamp sets. Then it hit me: all the "fillings" from Balance fit perfectly into the train from Whimsical Wheels. I LOVE it when something like this happens!

Ach, das hat Spaß gemacht! Ich habe schon wieder mit meinen neuen Lieblingen, den Polychromos, coloriert, ein bisschen mit Distress Inks rumgematscht und dann auch noch freihand Algen ausgeschnitten!
That was so much fun! I colored again with my new favorite colored pencils, Polychromos, played with some Distress Inks and cut some algae from green paper.

Als ich das Set Campy Christmas von Taylored Expressions sah, wusste ich sofort, dass ich es haben musste! Wir sind ja selber gerne mit dem Wohnwagen unterwegs, haben aber auch viele Freunde und die Schwiegereltern die das genauso sehen! Und hier ist das Set nun im Einsatz!
As I saw the set Campy Christmas from Taylored Expressions for the first time I knew I had to have it! We love our camper and we have a lot of friends and my parents-in-law who love camping, too! And here is the card that I made with the set!

Ich habe das neue Set Monster Party (sooo süß) benutzt, um diese einfache Karte zu basteln. Ich habe das Monster, die Fahne und die Ballons mit Polychromos coloriert und habe den Hintergrund mit Embossing Paste und dem Stencil Clouds gestaltet.
I used the new set Monster Party (so darn cute) to create this simple card! I colored the monster, the flag and the balloons with Polychromos (colored pencils) and added embossing paste with the stencil Clouds to the background!
