Stamplorations 2nd Birthday Blog Hop

Wow, STAMPlorations is celebrating its second birthday and they celebrating the whole week - woohoo! I have the honour to be a part of the birthday blog hop as a guestie!
They have released three stamp sets for the birthday party and they are so much fun!

I made four cards using these sets. As you can see Party Mates was my favorite one! All the setiments are from the set Party Time.
For the first card I did A LOT of coloring with colored pencils! It takes some time but I love to do it!

On the second card there are legs, legs, legs from the set Party Girl!

For the last two cards I used watercolors! I created a background using Distress Inks it got a little muddy. So I chose some pieces that turned out well and used them for paper piecing the cupcakes.

On the last card I tried a technique I learned from my friend Birka. You can see the video here. It is on German but I think you will understand it even if you don't speak German.

Löwen am Montag

Zum Wochenanfang habe ich eine Löwenkarte für Euch. Ich habe sie mit Wasserfarben coloriert, was eher selten bei mir ist - meistens mache ich das nur bei Blumen.

Beim doppelten Lottchen suchen Christine vom Kartenchaos und ich uns ein Stempel oder Stempelset o.ä. aus, das wir beide haben (da gibt es eine große Auswahl, weil wir beide den gleichen Stempelgeschmack haben). Wir entscheiden uns für eine weitere Vorgabe und basteln beide eine Karte u.ä., die dann sonntags um 16:00 Uhr gezeigt wird. Wie Ihr alle wisst, liebe ich das Kit! Und trotzdem habe ich mich aus unerklärlichen Gründen seeeeehhhhrrr schwer mit der Karte getan. Was Ihr jetzt sieht, ist schon Versuch Nummer 2 und auch der gefällt mir nicht wirklich. Mein Partial Die Cutting ist nun wirklich nicht von Kreativität geprägt. Versuch Nummer 1 ist direkt in den Mülleimer gewandert. Also, bevor Ihr bei meiner Karte einschlaft, lieber schnell zu Christine rüber klicken, ihre Karte ist bestimmt schöner geworden!
You know all how much I love the kit. Neverthelesse it was very hard for me to make this card. This card is my second try and I don't like it at all. My partial die cutting is pretty boring but my first try went to the trash - instantly.

Time To Say Goodbye...

Es ist zwei Jahre her, dass Alison mich gefragt hat, ob ich Teil des Alley Way Design Teams werden möchte - und natürlich wollte ich. Es waren zwei tolle Jahre mit jeder Menge süßer Stempel, mit einem tollen Team, vielen Inspirationen und mit vielen, vielen Karten...
Nach langem Überlegen habe ich mich dazu entschieden, das Team zu verlasse. Zwei Jahre sind einfach eine lange Zeit und ich habe viele Stempel in meinen Schubladen, die auch mal benutzt werden wollen und viel zu lange vernachlässigt wurden.
Heute habe ich noch meine drei letzten Karten für das TAWS DT!

Die, die das Lottchen schon ganz lange, quasi von Anfang an begleiten, werden sich vielleicht wundern: Das gab es doch schon mal! Ja, tatsächlich, uns gehen langsam die gemeinsamen Stempelsets aus - außer natürlich die von Create a Smile. So dachten wir uns, die alten Stempel dürfen auch mal wieder ein bisschen Licht sehen. Und ich kann Euch sagen, dieses Set habe ich laaaannnnggggeeee nicht mehr benutzt, auch wenn ich es bis heute sehr hübsch finde! Leider kann man es nicht mehr kaufen.
You, who follow the Lottie and Lisa a bit longer, actually from the beginning, may say: Hey, you used the set before. Yes, finally, we used nearly all the sets we both have - except for Create a Smile stamps.
So we thought it is time to give the old stamps some love. And I can tell you I haven't used this set for a loooonnnggg time but I still like it a lot. Unforunatly it is retired.

Ich muss zugeben, das Ornage ist auf meiner Karte ein wenig zu kurz gekommen. Auf dem Lastwagen sollte sich eigentlich Gelb udn Pink zu Orange vermischen - so recht hat's nicht geklappt. In der Realität sieht es ein wenig mehr nach Orang aus!
I have to admit there is just a little tiny bit of orange on my card. The plan was that the yellow and the pink blends with each other to orange. In real life it looks a bit more loíke orange - I swear.

Hach, meine Lieblingszeit im Monat: Es ist Zeit für den Create a Smile Release. Drei neue tolle Stempelsets: Wunderschöne Blumen, hübsche fliegende Dinge und ein Set mit deutschen Texten. Und als wenn das alleine nicht toll genug wäre, gibt es in diesem Monat auch noch zwei Sets Stanzen - und die sind genial, sage ich Euch! Bei mir sind es kleine Herz-Karten geworden! Und ich habe endlich mal wieder - weil ich mehr Zeit hatte - mit Prismacolors und Polychromos coloriert (mit Copics geht es einfach schneller). Auch, wenn die Karten nicht aufregend geworden sind, habe ich das Colorieren genossen - und darum geht es ja in unserem Hobby, oder?
I made small heart shaped cards. And I used once again - because I had the time - my Polychromos and my Prismacolors (it takes less time to color with Copics). The cards are not very exciting but I had a lot of fun coloring them - and that's what it's all about, isn't it?
