Umarmungskarte

Mit einer selbstgemachte Karte kann man eine Freundin einfach wissen lassen, dass man an sie denkt. Leider verschicken wir Karten in erster Linie zum Geburtstag und zu Weihnachten, aber viel zu selten einfach mal nur so. Also habe ich diese Karte für eine liebe Freundin gemacht, um ihr zu sagen, dass ich an sie denke.
A handmade card is a good way to let a friend know that you think of him or her, isn't it? We send a lot of cards for birthdays and Christmas but not so often in between these "big" days.
So I made this card for a lovely friend so that she know that she is in my thoughts.

Geburtstagskarte mit Überraschung

In der letzten Woche hatte die wunderbare Birka Geburtstag und natürlich wollte ich eine ganz besondere Karte für sie machen. Im letzten Jahr sind wir genau an ihrem Geburtstag auf dem Rückweg vom Mekka und haben ihren Geburtstag im Auto gefeiert. Da hatten wir viel Spaß und die Karte sollte daran erinnern. It was the birthday of a special (crafty) friend of mine last week so I wanted to make a special card for her! Last year we were on the return journey from a trip and we had a lot of fun celebrating her birthday in the car. I wanted to make a card in memory of this day. Avery Elle's Birthday Bus is just perfect for that. I also wanted to add a little surprise with an interactive element in the card. But more about that later...

Small Die of the Month September: Boo!

I am so happy to share the fun of the Small Die of the Month. Every month you get a set of awesome dies, well thought through and you get so much for your money. "Small" is an understatement for this great kit you get with your subscription.

This month the dies are all about Halloween. It contains dies for so many different costumes and accessoires.
To create the right atmosphere for Halloween I made a night sky with a bright moon. And then I let the ghosts dance around.

I also wanted to use the skeleton so I made another card.

I had so much fun with these dies. Can't wait to see what you will do with yours!

Hello Marie

Heute habe ich mal wieder eine Baby-Karte für euch. Ich mach Baby Karten nie im voraus, sondern immer erst wenn ein Baby geboren wird, denn so kann ich den Namen des Baby auf die Karte machen.
Today I have a baby card for you! I never make baby cards in advance but make one when a baby is bon- This way I can put the baby's name on the card!

Persisches Happy Birthday

Ich neige dazu, immer die gleichen Farbkombinationen auf meinen Karten zu verwenden. Ich habe so meine Lieblingsfarben, die ich benutze, mit denen ich mich wohlfühle. Aber von Zeit zu Zeit habe ich Lust auf was anderes und dann ist Pinterest mein Freund. Ich suche dann nach Farbkombinationen, in diesem fall nach Blumen-Farbkombis und dann bekommt man tausende von wunderschönen Resultaten- So bin ich auch auf diese Farbzusammenstellung gekommen: ein dunkles Rot, ein orangiges Rot und ein Pink, kombiniert mit grauen Blättern.
I tend to use the same colour scheme on every card! I have my go to colours that I feel comfortable with and that I reach to often. But from time to time I want to try something new and then Pinterest is my friend. I search for colour combos and for this card actually flower colour combos and you get thousands and thousands of beautiful results. That is how I came up with this colour scheme: a dark red, an orangy red and a pink, combined with grey leafes.

Big Birthday Wishes

Ich habe das Gefühl, dass es in diesem Sommer besonders viele süße Sommerstempelsets gab. Und ich will natürlich alle, die ich gekauft habe, benutzen bevor der Sommer vorüber ist. Obwohl auch ncihts gegen eine Sommerkarte im Winter spricht, wenn wir sie am dringendsten brauchen, oder?
I have the feeling that this summer the companies came up with extra cute summer sets and I want to use all of them that I bought before summer is over! Although I think nothing is wrong with a summer card in winter when we need it the most, isn't it?
